If you’re a sports enthusiast or fancy trying something new, you’ll find lots of leisure activities nearby from horse riding to golf.

Create a splash at the UK’s largest water park Wet ‘n’ Wild. Just 40 minutes drive away its great value, pay once and play all day!

We’re on the national cycle track Sustrans. There’s lots of quiet lanes to pedal around. Bring your own bike or hire from Cycleways in Morpeth.

Experience the thrills of horse riding along the beach or on quiet country lanes. There’s riding stables suiting all abilities nearby including Blue Sky Equestrian Centre and Slate Hall Riding Centre at Seahouses.

Golf fans will be spoilt for choice on where to tee off next. Northumberland is known for the quantity and quality of its golf courses. Tee off at nearby Dunstanburgh and Seahouses golf courses. A short drive up the coast real Links Course enthusiasts will love Bamburgh Castle Golf Club, Goswick and Foxton at Alnmouth. Look out for special deals to play all three courses.

At nearby Alnwick you’ll find the fully equipped Willowburn Leisure Centre. The centre has a modern fitness gym, six lane 25 metre swimming pool, six court sports hall and the new Willowburn Bouldering Wall. There’s also a fitness studio offering over 30 new classes throughout the week.

Take your bucket and spade to nearby Alnmouth beach. While you’re there, why not visit the smallest museum in the world, The Ferry Hut Museum?
