Seahouses is known as the gateway to the Farne Islands which is home to thousands of seabirds including the colourful puffin, kittiwakes, cormorants, terns and many more. Sir David Attenburgh has rated the island as one of the UK’s best wildlife experiences. Take an island tour on one of the many party boats whilst keeping an eye out for dolphins, whales and porpoises too.

With more castles than any other country in England, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to fortress forays. Bamburgh, Holy Island, Alnwick, Warkworth and Dunstanburgh Castles are all within easy reach.

Putt it right here. Golf lovers can stroll from Clifftop to neighbouring Seahouses Golf Club which is home to two of the most prestigious par threes in the North of England. Just three miles away if Bamburgh Golf Club, ranked as being one of the most scenic courses in the world.

Northumberland was recently voted the best county in the UK for families and Seahouses is no exception. From penny arcades to crazy golf and water sporting activities ranging from body boarding to kayaking there is a never-ending selection of fun to be had for everyone.
