Nestled in the sleepy village of Warkworth, Riverside
is reached by following the panoramic Northumberland
Coastal Route. Look out for the white on brown castle
and waves signs which mark the route from the A1 in
the north and from the A189 near ‘Cramlington’.
• Leave the A1 at the A19 slip road sign-posted
‘Cramlington’
• Follow the A19, then the A189 to ‘Ashington’
• Follow the signs for ‘Ashington’
until you see the signs for Ellington (A1068)
• Stay on the A1068, following the Northumberland
Coastal Route signs until you reach Warkworth
• Drive through the village and across the bridge,
taking the first turning on the left signposted
‘Station Road’
• Stay on this road, bearing left after the level
crossing. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles
and take the next left. This takes you
back over the railway line via the bridge and you will
eventually arrive
at the park.
